For any of you who went to HIMSS and visited us at our booth, thanks for coming by. I hope you got value from our conversations.
For those who didn’t….join the crowd! Despite the fact that the HIMSS organization stated a 5% or greater increase in attendance, you couldn’t tell that from what we experienced at the show. I wonder if everyone was on line waiting for their stimulus offering.
I have been going to HIMSS for many years, and, like MUSE, it has always seemed to be an opportunity to see many of the friends and acquantices I have met in my 25 years in the industry. This year, though I did see several friends and colleagues, it seemed far fewer than other years. Plus, the show seemed a little more subdued than in recent times (McKesson’s 400 foot TV must be in some investor’s family room). In these tougher economic times, I guess people were afraid to appear ostentatious. That being said, didn’t see anything really exciting, just wondering how to get the stimulus money……….
If you went to HIMSS09, what was your impression?
