General Hardware Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • Windows Server 2008 and 2003
  • Runs on 32- or 64-bit versions of the Windows operating system
  • 2GB of free memory or above
  • 80GB storage, RAID optional
  • PCIe slot (at least 1 free slot for modem in NetDelivery and NetFax)

Recommended Fax Hardware

NetFax, Desktop Fax and NetDelivery support PERLE and MultiTech ISI modems, and (optional) virtual modems. The following lists these modems, along with some of their characteristics:

  • Perle PCI-RAS
    • PCI Plug and Play
    • PCI Slot
    • High speed V.92 integrated modems for quicker connect times and upload speeds
    • PCI 2.3 compliant for universal 3.3/5v PCI slots
    • PCI-X compatible
    • V.34/33.6 Super G3 fax to reduce transmission times
    • RoHS and WEEE Compliant
    • Fax servers (class 1.0 and 2.1 Super G3)
  • MultiTech MultiModem ISI
    • Available with four or eight integrated V.92/56K modems
    • V.92/56K download speeds and 48K upload speeds when connecting with V.92 servers
    • Class 1.0 and Class 2.1 faxing at speeds to V.34/33.6K bps (Super G3)
    • Error Correction Mode (ECM) for fast and reliable fax transmissions
    • V.44 compression for improved data throughput rates
    • 3.3V and 5V Universal PCI or PCI Express (PCIe) models
    • Compatible with PCI-X slot (Universal PCI models)
    • PCI or PCIe depending on model
