MOXport Allows Users to Export Data From MEDITECH Magic’s MOX to Windows Directory At Their Convenience, Freeing Them to Focus on Their 6.0 Implementation

Natick, MA – Nov. 9, 2011 – Interbit Data, a leading provider of software and services connecting people with information for more efficient healthcare, today introduced MOXport, a utility software product for exporting data from MEDITECH Magic MOX to Microsoft Windows Directory. MOXport assists healthcare facilities that are in the process of transitioning away from MOX as they convert their MEDITECH Healthcare Information System (HCIS) from Magic to 6.0, enabling them to bring patient records and other vital data into the new system quickly and easily. Users can export the data at their convenience, either during the 6.0 implementation or after.

“Customers reported to us how much time they were consuming with moving data and cleaning up MOX during and after their 6.0 conversion,” said Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. “Their feedback spawned the idea for MOXport, a valuable software tool that’s flexible and cost-effective. Now, customers can save time with transferring data from MOX to Windows. The transfer process is also simplified, as MOXport allows users to move the data in stages and when it best fits with their 6.0 implementation schedule.”

MEDITECH Magic MOX was discontinued with the MEDITECH system’s upgrade to Client/Server and 6.0. With MOXport, users can go back to MOX whenever they need or want to over time to complete the removal and transfer of their data to Windows. MOXport is Windows-compatible.

Healthcare IT Providers Will Offer a Joint Solution Delivering Patient Information from Healthcare Information Systems to Personal Health Records

Natick, MA – Sept. 15, 2011 – Interbit Data, a leading provider of software and services connecting people with information for more efficient healthcare, today announced a partnership with MMR Global, Inc., a leading provider of Personal Health Records (PHRs) and electronic document management systems for healthcare professionals and consumers. The companies will integrate Interbit Data’s NetDelivery and Document Manager products with MMR’s MMRPatientView and MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record to offer a solution that broadens and eases access to patient health information, meeting requirements for Meaningful Use.

The companies’ joint solution utilizes NetDelivery with Document Manager to pull patient reports from a hospital’s healthcare information system (HCIS), assemble them into a single, encrypted electronic file, and then deliver the file to the MMR Personal Health Record (PHR). The PHR is a secure online service that enables patients to maintain all their medical records in one central location and access them via Internet anytime and anywhere. The patient can designate third parties such as family members to also have access to their records.

This one-of-a-kind solution also presents a potential revenue opportunity for hospitals and other healthcare facilities, as it can be upgraded to a paid subscription service delivering information to the patient and any designated third parties.

“This partnership allows us to augment our portfolio of products that are certified as electronic health records modules for establishing Meaningful Use and provide our customers with the opportunity to offer Personal Health Records to their patients and possibly create a revenue stream,” said Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. “One of the requirements outlined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for establishing Meaningful Use is to provide patients and others with electronic medical records information on request. NetDelivery and Document Manager enable that quickly, easily and securely.”

“Through our partnership with Interbit Data, we create a solution that facilitates the process of assembling patient information from multiple sources and delivers it securely to our patient portal,” stated Robert H. Lorsch, chairman, president and chief executive officer of MMR Global. “Hospitals will be able to improve the availability of information to their patient community and patients will obtain greater knowledge and control over their healthcare.”

About MMRGlobal, Inc.
MMRGlobal, Inc., through its wholly-owned operating subsidiary, MyMedicalRecords, Inc. (“MMR”), provides secure and easy-to-use online Personal Health Records (“PHRs”) and electronic safe deposit box storage solutions, serving consumers, healthcare professionals, employers, insurance companies, financial institutions, and professional organizations and affinity groups.

MyMedicalRecords is built on proprietary, patented technologies to allow documents, images and voicemail messages to be transmitted and stored in the system using a variety of methods, including fax, phone, or file upload without relying on any specific electronic medical record platform to populate a user’s account.

One of a Kind Program Also Creates Revenue Stream for Providers

Natick, MA and Los Angeles, CA – May 31, 2011 – Interbit Data, Inc. (www.interbitdata.com), creator of secure, reliable and cost-effective software solutions that improve operational efficiency for healthcare operations, and MMRGlobal, Inc. (OTCBB: MMRF) (www.mmrglobal.com), the leading provider of Personal Health Records (PHRs) and electronic document management systems for consumers and healthcare professionals, announced today that they have formed a partnership to provide electronic personal healthcare records to a wider patient base.

The two companies will introduce their product offering at the 2011 International MUSE Conference in Nashville, Tenn. this week – utilizing Interbit Data’s NetDelivery application to deliver patient information into MMR’s MMRPatientView (www.mmrpatientvideos.com) and MyMedicalRecords Personal Health Record (www.mmrvideos.com). The PHR is a secure online service that enables patients to maintain all their medical records in one central location and access them anytime from anywhere over the Internet. Through the partnership, Interbit Data will begin augmenting its healthcare information systems (HIS) solutions portfolio by giving its customers the opportunity to offer PHRs to their patients.

The solution may help hospitals and other health services providers achieve compliance with federal Meaningful Use standards as they evolve over the next several years. In addition, a portion of the MyMedicalRecords subscription fee is returned to the healthcare organization that enrolls the patient. Healthcare organizations now have the opportunity to meet a phase of federal compliance in advance of any mandate, and offer a valuable service to their patients while creating a revenue stream for their organization.

Robert H. Lorsch, Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of MMRGlobal, stated that “Interbit Data provides service to more than 600 hospitals, which will provide MMRGlobal a major opportunity to touch millions of patients through the point of care. We believe that this is just the first step in a long-term relationship between our two companies.”

Arthur Young, President of Interbit Data agreed, saying that “We are looking forward to helping hospitals further enhance their communications with their patient base and assisting them in achieving the goals of Meaningful Use.”

The partnership between MMRGlobal and Interbit Data will allow more patients to gain greater control over their health and well-being and better prepare their families for an emergency while providing a revenue opportunity for providers.

Helping to address the shortage of nurses, a growing problem in healthcare which affects patient care and safety, Interbit Data is partnering with Schedulist to offer a web-based, software-as-a-service (SaaS) tool that enables optimized staff scheduling and delivers it in a way that enhances employee job satisfaction and loyalty as well as improves the effectiveness of nurses and other clinical staff to meet patient needs.

Managers can create schedules that place only qualified and available people in shifts and ensure staff levels are appropriate and consistent, saving time and avoiding scheduling mistakes. Staff can be given a number of options to influence their own schedule and those schedule preferences are incorporated in the system intelligently.

“Healthcare workers rate the flexibility of their schedule and receiving their schedule preference the highest of all their job satisfaction criteria,” said Christopher Laibe, president of Schedulist. “As a result, Schedulist was designed specifically to leverage the power of scheduling to impact employee job satisfaction, loyalty and retention.”

Schedulist offers numerous, customizable features to ease the task of scheduling for both managers and staff, such as:

Individual Profiles – to track each employee’s specific skills so the right person is placed in the right job.

Personalized Schedules – to create schedules in the way that works best: either manually, with assistance from the system or fully automated, and with widgets selected and arranged as desired.

Employee Feedback – to enable employees to designate when they want to work but allow managers to set parameters.

Real-Time Decision Support – to provide instant feedback on the effect of scheduling choices on key metrics.

Managing Assets – to ensure that people are scheduled with the right equipment.

Optimized Schedules – to notify managers when there are too many or too few staff.

“We weren’t taking full advantage of NetDelivery and what it can do beyond standard information sharing and delivery,” stated Art Baran, Application Analyst, Saratoga Hospital. “Once we explored the product more deeply, we saw its potential. We have gone from using NetDelivery for delivering reports and lab results to applying it for multiple uses across multiple departments.”

Saratoga Hospital initially installed NetDelivery to automate the task of faxing reports and enable them to send several patient reports to multiple recipients at the same time, saving time and making the report distribution process more efficient. By maximizing the software’s extensive capabilities, numerous areas of the hospital are enjoying added convenience and reducing paper usage as well, thereby lowering costs and increasing productivity.

Saratoga Hospital’s emergency department uses NetDelivery for numerous purposes, such as generating ambulance arrived-by reports, delivering nursing performance evaluations, and gathering information to address customer complaints. Reports can be sent directly to a printer, if necessary, or created as a PDF that is stored on a secure server and can be viewed in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Specific reports or documents can be found by just using a keyword search, which brings up and sends the report in seconds.

The Saratoga Hospital emergency department found NetDelivery’s versatility also extended to sending alerts. When an order for an EKG for an emergency patient comes through MEDITECH, NetDelivery sends a text message to the technicians telling them where the patient is located, allowing them to avoid the step of going to someone for the order.

Other Saratoga Hospital departments that are finding uses for NetDelivery beyond the typical report distribution include the pharmacy, which runs reports on what medications are being administered in the hospital; the admitting department, which uses NetDelivery to edit or cancel accounts and as an audit tool for tracking staff activity; and the diagnostic center, which uses NetDelivery to keep track of appointments and generate a report on cancelled appointments.

Saratoga Hospital’s physicians’ practices have a two-fold use for NetDelivery. When they need to have lab reports sent over the virtual private network (VPN) to their electronic medical records (EMRs), NetDelivery generates a requisition for the report, which is received by MEDITECH, and then sends the report with the requisition number.

Saratoga Hospital continues to discover uses for NetDelivery that it plans to implement in the future, such as nebulizer alerts to notify clinicians when a patient has stopped breathing and exchanging reports with its ProVation electronic health record (EHR) system.

By using NetDelivery, Saratoga Hospital has saved numerous steps for its clinicians, as they do not have to manually deliver or obtain reports to/from other offices or departments. The hospital also saves paper and money by creating more PDF files of reports instead of printing them. Time is further saved through the batch printing, specifically in the emergency and billing departments.

With NetSafe, Hospitals and Doctors’ Offices Can Be Assured That the Most Up-To-Date Patient Information is Available When and Where It’s Needed, Despite Network or System Status

Natick, MA – May 12, 2011 – For healthcare providers implementing electronic health records (EHRs) to meet American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) requirements for “Meaningful Use” of patient data, there’s a solution that ensures uninterrupted data access in the event of a system failure or downtime. With NetSafe, Interbit Data’s downtime protection and business continuity solution, hospitals and other healthcare providers can automatically capture the latest patient information generated from their healthcare information system (HCIS) and preserve it anywhere on the network.

A one-minute video on the downtime protection and business continuance benefits of NetSafe is available at: http://interbitdata.com/business-continuance/netsafe/

“As healthcare organizations increasingly adopt electronic health records, there is the concern that patient care can be placed at risk if there is a service disruption or the system is unavailable,” said Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. ”In these circumstances, clinicians are unable to access important patient information such as the latest medication records. Thus, they typically need to employ a manual system such as printed reports, which is tedious, time-consuming and potentially unsafe if the information most recently printed is not the most up-to-date.”

With NetSafe, the latest patient information is always available for look-up, review and/or printing directly from the local PC where the reports are automatically stored. Healthcare organizations can end the frequent printing of electronic medication administration records (eMARs), master patient indexes, blood bank transfusion logs and other critical reports and documents, reducing paper waste and the use of printer supplies. Enabling 24/7 access to patient information regardless of network or system status guarantees clinicians get the information they need when and where they need it, ensures consistent workflow, maintains productivity and, most importantly, ensures consistent delivery of patient care.

NetSafe also responds to HIPAA’s Security Rule (2005), which mandates that healthcare organizations have a contingency plan for emergencies affecting access to electronic information. They are responsible for backing up their data and having disaster recovery procedures in place in the event that access to patient records is not available.

NetSafe and Interbit Data’s other products for downtime protection and business continuance, information distribution and workforce scheduling and management are being readied for certification as products for achieving Meaningful Use.

Hospitals and Other Healthcare Organizations Can Now Assemble Electronic Health Data From Multiple Sources Into a Single Customized Patient Report, Saving Time and Ending Waste

Natick, MA – April 5, 2010 –Healthcare providers now have a solution that helps meet Meaningful Use requirements to provide patient-requested medical records by enabling the creation of a single document with data and records from multiple sources. With Document Manager from Interbit Data, hospital personnel can quickly and easily assemble numerous electronic patient files into one document and deliver it securely to patients and third parties, saving time and protecting patient confidentiality.

“One of the requirements outlined by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) for establishing Meaningful Use is to provide patients and others with electronic medical records information on request. Document Manager is the only product that specifically addresses this and does so in an efficient and secure manner,” said Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. “Healthcare organizations deal with an enormous quantity of patient data and can consume precious time gathering it from various departments for fulfilling requests for specific reports. Document Manager speeds the process of getting that information into the hands of those who need it to maintain the high quality delivery of patient care.”

Medical records, discharge staff and other hospital personnel no longer need to gather information separately from different departments and send it separately to recipients. Through its ability to streamline the assembly of customized patient reports, Document Manager simplifies the collection of data, saves time with creating and delivering reports, eliminates waste and other problems associated with printing documents, and provides greater control over the final document format. Users can manage how a document is assembled, determining format and layout and creating a cover page and table of contents, if necessary.

Document Manager operates as easily as a printer, assembling any files that can be printed to a LaserJet printer and sending the consolidated documents to any designated recipient. Reports and documents created with Document Manager may be distributed via email, fax or NetDelivery, Interbit Data’s report distribution software. They may also be written as a secure and protected encrypted PDF file to USB and/or CD-ROM storage.

All of Interbit Data’s products, which include solutions for information distribution, downtime protection and business continuance, and workforce scheduling and management, are being readied for certification as products for achieving Meaningful Use.

With the NetDelivery Integration Module, Saint Francis Transfers Lab Results From MEDITECH to Physicians’ Practices Via the HL7 Data Standard for Sharing and Retrieving Electronic Health Information

Natick, MA – January 25, 2011 – To enable smooth and secure interoperability of electronic health information via the HL7 data standard, Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE implemented the NetDelivery Integration Module from Interbit Data. The information distribution software captures lab results in MEDITECH and delivers them in the HL7 format to physicians’ practices’ electronic medical records (EMRs). Saint Francis Medical Center already uses NetDelivery to distribute all labs, radiology and other patient reports to departments across its facility.

“NetDelivery is a very flexible product that provides a solution for many data and report distribution needs,” said Steven Wegenast, Applications Analyst at Saint Francis Medical Center. “The NetDelivery Integration Module offers another effective way to deliver results and has proven to be a simpler and less costly HL7 interface.”

Saint Francis Medical Center has realized immediate benefits from the NetDelivery Integration Module, as it has with NetDelivery.

“NetDelivery parses reports and sends them to the printers at which they are needed, whereas when MEDITECH sends information out, it goes to only one printer,” explained Pamela Zitterkopf, Pathology Director at Saint Francis Medical Center. “There are time savings because NetDelivery automates the report distribution process, setting up reports to transmit to target recipients automatically. We save on paper as well because we’re not printing reports to see what they look like before sending them.”

With NetDelivery, Saint Francis Medical Center runs reports from MEDITECH on a daily basis and sends them to 91 recipients across 20 hospital printers. The recipients are created for each printer to ensure that reports are directed to the right printers.

Saint Francis Medical Center uses the NetDelivery Integration Module with one physician practice in particular, Grand Island Dermatology, and is preparing to start sending HL7 data to the other physician practices it partners with. Interbit Data implemented the Integration Module and had it delivering HL7 reports in a matter of weeks.

“The team at Interbit Data is very helpful and knowledgeable of MEDITECH,” added Zitterkopf. “They got us on the right track to implementing an uncomplicated HL7 interface.”
