Natick, MA – May 25, 2011 – Exploring the potential of Interbit Data’s report distribution software, NetDelivery, Saratoga Hospital in Saratoga Springs, NY, has discovered numerous applications, enabling the speed of automated information sharing across its organization and satisfying the diverse report requirements of multiple departments.

“We weren’t taking full advantage of NetDelivery and what it can do beyond standard information sharing and delivery,” stated Art Baran, Application Analyst, Saratoga Hospital. “Once we explored the product more deeply, we saw its potential. We have gone from using NetDelivery for delivering reports and lab results to applying it for multiple uses across multiple departments.”

Natick, MA – January 25, 2011 – To enable smooth and secure interoperability of electronic health information via the HL7 data standard, Saint Francis Medical Center in Grand Island, NE implemented the NetDelivery Integration Module from Interbit Data. The information distribution software captures lab results in MEDITECH and delivers them in the HL7 format to physicians’ practices’ electronic medical records (EMRs). Saint Francis Medical Center already uses NetDelivery to distribute all labs, radiology and other patient reports to departments across its facility.

“NetDelivery parses reports and sends them to the printers at which they are needed, whereas when MEDITECH sends information out, it goes to only one printer,” explained Pamela Zitterkopf, Pathology Director at Saint Francis Medical Center. “There are time savings because NetDelivery automates the report distribution process, setting up reports to transmit to target recipients automatically. We save on paper as well because we’re not printing reports to see what they look like before sending them.”

With NetDelivery, Saint Francis Medical Center runs reports from MEDITECH on a daily basis and sends them to 91 recipients across 20 hospital printers. The recipients are created for each printer to ensure that reports are directed to the right printers.

Saint Francis Medical Center uses the NetDelivery Integration Module with one physician practice in particular, Grand Island Dermatology, and is preparing to start sending HL7 data to the other physician practices it partners with. Interbit Data implemented the Integration Module and had it delivering HL7 reports in a matter of weeks.

• Edward Norton, a veteran of software sales and services in the healthcare industry, has been promoted from vice president of sales to senior vice president and chief operating officer (COO);
• Oscar Beninati, a proven sales leader in multiple industries, has been promoted from director of sales to vice president of sales and marketing; and
• Brian Main, a specialist in the development of software solutions for healthcare facilities, has been named vice president of technology.

All three executives have extensive experience working with hospitals and other healthcare organizations as a result of backgrounds with healthcare information systems (HCIS) providers, including MEDITECH. Working with the rest of the Interbit Data leadership team, they will be instrumental in taking the Inc. 5000 company to its next stage of growth.

As senior vice president and COO, Mr. Norton will oversee sales, marketing, product implementation and customer support, helping to lead the company through its next phase of growth as it expands its sales channels and customer service organization. He possesses over 30 years experience in all aspects of sales and management and a proven track record in team building, leadership and motivation.

Mr. Beninati will lead Interbit Data’s sales managers and customer account team in bringing the company’s information distribution, business continuance and workforce scheduling solutions to new markets in North America and Europe. He is a 20-year sales veteran with experience managing all aspects of enterprise-wide software sales and services to complex organizations, primarily in healthcare.

In his role as vice president of technology, Mr. Main will direct product development and implementation, particularly the introduction of features and upgrades that will further enable hospitals and other healthcare providers to save time and secure data as they distribute patient information and records across their organizations.
