International MUSE Conference

Are you going to MUSE?

Normally we would see 1200 – 1500 registrants, but as of right now, it looks like about 600. In reality, that number is about 300 because that is the actual number of users registered, including vendors. We are cutting back a little, but it becomes a visious circle. Attendence is down so the vendor cuts back, so the number and selection of offerings decreases, so the usefulness decreases, so fewer people attend …… Not a great scenario.

Google Medical Records

There was an article in the Boston Globe on April 13th that discussed the problems experienced by some people who sent their medical record files from a hospital system into Google. Turns out that the provider had an arrangement set up with Google, so if the patient wanted the records sent, they had the interface in place.
